About me

"Intellectual growth should commence at birth and cease only at death"

-Albert Einstein

Who I am: I am an educational content designer with a background in music performing arts. My music degree taught me the power of curiosity, critical thinking, and approaching challenging situations with a calm and open mind. When I taught music privately, I had the opportunity to cater each individual lesson to the unique individual I was working with. This allowed me to hone my skills in addressing the 4 different types of learners. When I transitioned to working in tech, I had the opportunity to develop my technical skills and deepen my appreciation for how technology can help people learn, grow, and connect. This allowed me to realize my passion for education and the ability to provide interactive and engaging content so that the learner can reach their full potential.

My process & approach to solving problems: I strive to put people at the center of my process. To design solutions that are elegant and effective, I identify what people are struggling with and what I can do to help ease that burden. Once a solution has been identified and agreed upon, I use an interactive design approach that incorporates user testing and data analysis. This results in a user-focused product that responds adaptively as changes arise.

How I work with people: Collaboration is priority. I thrive on building authentic relationships with peers, SMEs, and stakeholders to ensure solutions serve audiences across the business while catering to the individuals unique needs. I aim to support and build up the teams that I join, and I love to feel supported by others.

What we can accomplish: I am all about simple and engaging content that provides results. If you or your organization would like to leverage modern learning experiences that help people reach their full potential, I am confident that we can design compelling solutions.

Anything, everything, and more: Along with education, I am fascinated with history. More specifically the 40s and 50s era. If I'm not creating educational content, I am sitting next to a sewing machine constructing a dress from an original 1940s pattern while referencing original 40s sewing books, sitting on my couch knitting a vintage sweater while listening to a book on tape, or taking a drive in our classic 1958 Buick Roadmaster while listening to a podcast. There are times throughout the year where I get the opportunity to help my husband and fellow car enthusiasts prepare their cars for various car shows and it brings me joy to be able to hear about the wonderful stories and history everyone has to share.
